Overview
The Vertical Tabs Beta Program offers early access to new features and an opportunity to support ongoing development. As a subscriber, you’ll receive beta builds before public release and help shape the future of Vertical Tabs.
How to Join
Step 1: Subscribe to the Beta Program
Visit my Ko-fi page, navigate to the Membership tab, and join the Vertical Tabs Beta Program.
Important: Read Before Subscribing
Please review the FAQ and Privacy Policy before subscribing. By joining the Beta Program, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Email Address Required
Provide a valid email address when subscribing. Your access token will be sent to this address, so verify it before completing your subscription.
Step 2: Check Your Email
You’ll receive an email with your access token. Remember to check your spam or junk folder. If you didn’t receive it or entered the wrong address, please contact me on Ko-fi.
Step 3: Install BRAT
Open Obsidian and click the button below to install BRAT (Beta Reviewer’s Auto-update Tool for Obsidian):
Manual Installation
You can also install BRAT manually by going to Community Plugins and searching for “BRAT”. BRAT is developed and maintained by @TfTHacker.
Step 4: Install Beta Helper
Click the button below to install the “Vertical Tabs Beta Helper” plugin using BRAT. Ensure “Enable after installing the plugin” is checked before clicking “Add plugin”.

Manual Installation
To install manually, go to BRAT’s settings and use this link:
https://github.com/oxdc/obsidian-vertical-tabs-beta-helper. You can find a quick-start video on BRAT’s website. The Beta Helper source code is available in its repository.
Step 5: Configure Your Access Token
In the email you received, click the “Setup in Obsidian” button. If that doesn’t work, click the button below, paste your access token, and click “Continue”.
Step 6: You’re all set!
You’ll now automatically receive beta updates as they become available.
